TK Engineering Oy collaborated with a customer with the goal of improving their control system CAN communication implementation. The scope of the work was focused on the control systems CAN topology. Based on the initial system state an improved CAN topology was designed. With proper topology design choices and the use of CAN switches the system reliability and future-proofness was increased.
TKE collaborated with reverse engineering specialist Daniel Öster to sponsor the Battery-Emulator project aimed at the development of extending the lifespan of EV batteries and repurposing them for stationary storage. Daniel Öster’s expertise in reverse engineering and EV batteries, coupled with TKE’s funding, led to fine advancements in his Battery-Emulator project.
The primary objective was to develop a CANopen Safety, SIL2 / PLd, Cat 3, expansion board for the customers remote control product. The aim of the first part of the project was to allow our customer and its clients to assess the functionality in prototype environments.
The new CANtrace 4.1 is a robust software designed for analyzing CAN bus networks, particularly focusing on CANopen and J1939 protocols.
TK Engineering Oy has developed a CiA 408 device profile compliant four-edge valve controller. The four-edge valve controller simplifies the control of hydraulic cylinder piston velocities. The piston velocity is controlled through a standardized CAN communication interface specified by the CiA 408 device profile. The modular implementation of the controller enables it to be easily integrated into control systems.
Package includes CAN analyzer software, a pair of wireless CAN bridge interfaces and a traditional CAN interface for data logging. This package includes plug-and-play units to rapidly exchange raw CAN data to analyzer software for further analysis. The package is designed for use cases where a traditional wired connection is unsuitable or challenging to implement.
Introducing TK Engineering Oy‘s pioneering Wireless CAN data collection solution for Android tablets. This state-of-the-art system uses wireless CAN technology to enable seamless data transfer, giving users real-time insights and advanced features.
Thanks to the Kvaser BlackBird v2 wireless CAN interface, the solution ensures compatibility and reliability in a variety of environments. Consequently, this innovation opens up new paths for mobile and industrial automation, ranging from enhancing the user experience in driver training applications to enabling flexible system configurations.
Tampere Vocational College Tredu approached TKE with the need for a truck driver training tool. The main goal of the tool was to increase effectiveness and safety of the truck driver training process. TKE delivered TKE Driver applications to Tredus Volvo and Renault trucks.
