The Kvaser Air Bridge Light HS M12 is a configuration-free wireless CAN bridge that uses a dust and water-tight M12 connector to connect CAN networks. It provides a uniquely low and predictable latency compared to other wireless technologies and a highly robust signal even at long range.
Comprising a preconfigured pair of plug-and-play units, with integrated antennas and rugged housings, the Kvaser Air Bridge Light HS M12 ensures the rapid exchange of CAN data in environments or situations that make wired connection unsuitable or challenging, e.g. systems involving moving or rotating machines that are connected by CAN.
Employing a proprietary 2.4GHz wireless protocol based on frequency hopping and diversity, the Kvaser Air Bridge Light HS achieves predictable latency, without sacrificing stability or range. This makes the Air Bridge effective in infrastructures and control applications, where accurate message delivery times are essential, and a viable alternative for optical cable in some situations.
