On-site reporting is challenging because people, equipment and materials move on the field, that might have a significant impact on the workflow. Often the problem is that the crucial information remains only in the knowledge of individuals or those who are present.

Icons make it easy for a person to decribe any flaws or damage. Intuitive icons categorize information in the right place, without people having to make difficult choices. For instance, you can use more informal text or a photo to get more information about the report. The system automatically captures the time and user. If done manually, often some important information may not be reported.

Sensing with semipassive NFC tags

Semipassive NFC tag is a great solution when looking for ways that don’t require full telematics approach. Nice supplement for applications where passive tags are not sufficient but full fledged telematics is overkill.

Semipassive tags enable high performance at low cost with the use of external sensor with passive NFC communication. Advantage of such approach enables flexible on-demand connectivity for cost sensitive and entry level measurements. When human-made observations are reported, the system immediately moves the information forward and can begin to resolve the problem before it occurs. This way, the number, location and availability of the components on the field are known by all. Users’ searches remain in the user history and provide important data about the operations in the field.
