Kvaser USBcan Light 2xHS Cost-effective Dual channel USB-to-CAN interface

Kvaser USBcan Light 2xHS is a compact, reliable and cost-effective means of connecting two high speed CAN busses to a PC or mobile computer. With a USB 2.0 compliant connector at one end and two 9-pin D-SUB connectors at the other, the Kvaser USBcan Light 2xHS is a fraction larger than the one-channel Leaf Light v2 but features the same sleek, ergonomically designed housing that Kvaser products have become renowned for and comes with galvanic isolation as standard.

With plug-and-play USB connectivity and galvanic isolation as standard, the device is designed for easy deployment in both laboratory and field environments. Ideal for engineers and developers who need a cost-effective dual-channel CAN interface for monitoring, analyzing, and developing CAN-based systems using a single USB connection.

Kvaser USBcan Light 2xHS enables real-time transmission and reception of CAN messages on two separate channels simultaneously. It supports both standard (11-bit) and extended (29-bit) CAN identifiers, making it suitable for a wide range of CAN-based applications.

Key Features

  • Dual CAN Channels: Connect two high-speed CAN buses via a single USB interface
  • USB Connectivity: USB 2.0 interface for fast and simple connection
  • Plug-and-Play: Quick installation with minimal configuration
  • Galvanic Isolation: Electrical protection on both CAN channels
  • Flexible Cabling: Connectors on cables for hard-to-reach CAN ports (e.g. ECUs)
  • Protocol Support: Compatible with CAN, CANopen, J1939, NMEA 2000, and DeviceNet
  • Kvaser CANlib Support: Full compatibility with Kvaser software ecosystem

Simple to install and configure

Kvaser USBcan Light 2xHS offers two high speed CAN channels and one USB 2.0 compliant interface. With the three connectors at the end of fully galvanically isolated flexible wires, this device is designed to facilitate any application in which the CAN bus connectors aren’t easily accessible, such as hard to reach electronic control units (ECU) on a vehicle.

Kvaser USBcan Light 2xHS is supplied with CANlib, the software API that is common to all Kvaser hardware. Taking just 30 seconds to programme once you have CANlib downloaded on the host computer, the USBcan Light 2xHS is simple to install and configure.
