Kvaser Air Bridge M12, a compact, advanced wireless device that seamlessly bridges CAN networks, with easy setup, free pairing and flexible configuration
Kvaser Air Bridge M12 is a small, yet advanced, wireless CAN bridge device that can be used to form a CAN system bridge, when paired with any other Kvaser Air Bridge M12 device and to create connectivity between two or more CAN networks. This radio solution can be used to connect CAN based control systems and test equipment in scenarios and situations where it is desirable to replace cabling and related parts.
Kvaser Air Bridge M12 is designed for ease of use, while retaining a certain flexibility for the user by means of configuration including optimized CAN bus parameters and CAN message filtering. The pairing feature enables the user to choose between ’one to one’, and ’one to any’ constellations.
With uniquely low and predictable latency compared to other wireless technologies and a highly robust signal even at long range, the Kvaser Air Bridge M12 is well-suited for control tasks in remote-control applications with systems that require rapid response. Ideal for engineers and system integrators who need a flexible and configurable wireless CAN solution for complex systems, where standard preconfigured bridges are not sufficient.

Functionality
Kvaser Air Bridge M12 forms a wireless gateway between CAN networks, allowing systems to communicate as if they were physically connected. Devices can be paired dynamically, and roles (master/slave) can be configured depending on system requirements.
Configuration and commissioning are performed via CAN-based management or a dedicated utility tool, enabling control over parameters such as bit rate, transmit power, and pairing. This flexibility makes the device suitable for both simple and advanced network topologies.
